A note from the creator

Hi, I'm Christian.

I created Montrose Local after noticing the same questions being asked repeatedly across local Facebook groups:

• Where's the best burger?
• Who has the best breakfast?
• What are some good local hikes?
• What's happening this weekend?

The answers were always helpful, but they would disappear into the Facebook feed a few days later and become difficult to find again.

Montrose Local was created to give those recommendations a permanent home.

The goal is simple: make it easier for residents and visitors to discover local restaurants, shops, services, events, hikes, attractions, movie showings, and practical community resources without having to search through months of social media posts.

This site is independently owned and operated by a local Montrose resident. It is not a corporate directory or a national review site. It is a local project built to make useful community information easier to find and preserve.

As the site grows, I hope it becomes a trusted resource where people can quickly find local recommendations, discover new places, and stay connected to what's happening around Montrose and the surrounding area.
